what are the advantages, if any, of MasonX::Maypole over Maypole::View::Mason?

i am going to give MXM another attempt today, but i got MVM to work on the first try.

in getting Maypole working on its own, then MVM, i think i know how to get MXM to work.

one advantage i see to having maypole run under mason rather than the other way around is that you can set up a autohandler and dhandlers, rather than including the header/footer/etc calls in each component. there may be other non-obvious advantages, like memory management, thus my question.
