In addition a few days ago I sent an e-mail to Sergey, tha author of the module asking him if he wants me to send patches or if would rather pass maintainership to me.
So far there was no response. I will send followup messages to him and try to find him.

I'll also try to address the compilation problem on new versions of libpcap but if someone has input on this, please let me know.

Once I have a version I'll release it even if that's not going to be the official version.
