First, let me apologize for posting a request for help here; no offense to ROBERTMAY is intended. I have been trying to find a way to contact ROBERTMAY directly but have not been successful.

I'm having a terrible time installing Win32::GUI under ActiveState 5.6.1. My installation's CPAN module/facility (whatever) just plain doesn't work; I don't know what the problem is. PPM claims to successfully install Win32::GUI, but large chunks of the package -- such as the documentation -- are missing; even the Tutorial's "Hello GUI World" example fails to work, instead SEGV'ing when it tries to call AddLabel(). Lastly, downloading the gzip file from the Win32::GUI section of this website, the file I end up with does not contain the ".ppm" file that the README's "Installation" section says I should specify to PPM to install the package. All in all, I'm completely stumped as to how to install Win32::GUI.

Please help; please email to cchiesa1@rochester.rr.com or xet001@yahoo.com even if you also post here, in case I can't figure out how to arrange for e-mail notification of posts made here -- or in case that, too, fails to operate as expected. Administrators, feel free to delete this message... but only AFTER I come back here and report that someone has helped me and I've gotten the thing installed and working.
