Hi all,
I would like to update you that WWW::monitor undergoes alpha tests and will be ready for Beta tests in two weeks.
This new version will in include the following functionality:
1. Entire HTTP response caching - Currently the cache mechanism cache only the target content. From this version the whole HTTP response will be cached and available to the user via HTTP::Response class.
2. Multi language and encoding support.
3. New dedicated text diff class that will replace - This will enable sending marked html files.
4. Support non html sites - Option to report changes in non html targets.
5. Bug fix for: "if a server compresses data (e.g. with mod_gzip) then web pages are cached and notified as are." (Reported by cpetercpan).
To ensure that tests are complete I need a list of sites that will be used for sanity tests. If you wish to add such a site to the list send it to me (yaron at kahanovitch dot com).
I would like to invite you to participate in the beta tests. For that please send an Email to (yaron @kahanovitch dot com)
Best regards,
Yaron kahanovitch
