I'm proud to announce the SOAP-WSDL 2.00_04 pre-release.

SOAP-WSDL 2.00 is a complete rewrite, based on a new XML Schema implementation (SOAP::WSDL::XSD).

While SOAP::WSDL 1.2x attempted to process a WSDL just-in-time, SOAP::WSDL 2.00 does the processing first.

SOAP-WSDL 2.00 also features a SAX SOAP message handler for creating object trees of SOAP messages, and a code generation facility for generating classes and XML-Perl maps for generating Object trees when types are not specified in the SOAP message.

If SOAP-WSDL 1.2x is not enough for you, you might want to try the 2.00 pre-release. Though many things are still about to change, the SOAP::WSDL::Client API will probably stay unchanged - and this is what you have to deal with, mostly.
