Re: Batch write filename to iptc field ?
Gee Phil, Thanks. But I'm way on the evolutionary line from how you stated all that. run "exiftool -a -G1 -s FILE" * understand nothing after " run exiftool" exiftool "-iptc:caption-abstract filename" "-comment filename" FILE * do I put ALL of that somewhere or just : "-iptc:caption-abstract filename" "-comment filename" Also, you may want to add the -overwrite_original option to prevent the original images from being backed up. * do want to add that, don't want originals backed up . But ADD that where? "Finally, you should set up a shortcut in windows which will run exiftool.exe with all your command-line options except the FILE names. Then you can drag and drop files and folders onto this shortcut to do the processing for you." * no concept whatsoever -on a scale of 1 to 10 : minus dumbfounded ? Know I have to prime the baseboards today before the final gloss white; may or may not use tape for a straight line or paint them freehand. Any ideas? Marty
