I own a Pentax *ist DS camera, which reports my new Pentax 18-250 lens as Unknown (4 231), rather than the '7 231' code as currently stored in pentax.pm viz.

I assume that some earlier Pentax models report these 'new-fangled' things differently...

For the moment, I'm editing each successive version of pentax.pm to add the entry. But would be great if you could include it. That would also allow exiftoolGUI to report my lens properly via windows version of Exiftool. I can send sample image if you would like it.

By the way, I'm using .Exiftool_config to add some xmp extensions to exiftool (which also works for exiftoolGUI and thus for IMatch). Question: is it possible to (temporarily) add a new pentax.pm entry to this file and have it included in the list of available lens types in the latter programs?
