some curious exiftool output
Hi,
I found out that the Sigma 100-300/4 APO IF EX Lens produces some incorrect exifdata (EOS 1D MKII)
The 1st point is:
The Lens is not yet listed in exiftool respectively has the same ID (#152)like the sigma 10-20 and 12-24.
The 2nd thing is:
In Makernotes/CanonCameraInfo Section is the LongFocus 44, the ShortFocus is ok (100), the LensType also (152).
In Makernotes/CanonCameraSettings both Focus-Values are OK but the LensType is "0".
I think its a Problem of sigma-canon, right?

Re: some curious exiftool output
Hi Bozi,

Thanks for the sample.

It is unfortunate that the Sigma lenses re-use existing LensType numbers, but there is really no way around this. Thanks for pointing out this new lens that uses ID 152 -- I will change this print conversion to reflect this.

The LensType value in the CanonCameraSettings is only written by certain Canon models. Apparently the 1DmkII isn't one of them. This isn't due to the Sigma lens.
